Julie E Gordon is a British performing artist who rose to fame as the backing vocalist for the alternative rock band The Happy Mondays. Joining the band in 2004, she toured around the world with them until 2012, lending her powerful and soulful voice to many of their classic hits. During this time she supported and provided backing vocals to numerous artists and hits, notably working with bands such as Kasabian, Big Finn and Womack & Womack. Julie has recorded with labels such as Grand Central, Giant Step Records, Sanctuary Records and worked with producer Sunny Levine, on the Album 'Uncle Dysfunctional – released on Noel Gallagher’s Big Brother Records.
“WIRED” is Julie's first collaboration with songwriter/producer Richard McCallum and solidifies her status as one of the UK's most versatile and talented singers. The song centres on the theme of empowerment encouraging the celebration of love, life and music.
The track has a blend of diverse musical influences that weaves Julie’s soulful voice through intricate layers of Latin rhythms, gospel-soul, rock and pop by creating a fusion that feels both nostalgic and refreshingly original.
